Mobile app for enterprise window producer
When our CEO, Łukasz, first reached out to the Polish branch of the company, our idea was to provide them with programming support and consultancy. It turned out the timing was just on point, as they were considering the development of a brand new app at the time.
The prior tool didn’t meet their expectations, especially in terms of usability and design. Our work was to improve these areas of the app and to adapt it to the window industry, as well as to the latest trends in the digital world.
Taking the responsibility
What they needed was a web application that would connect customers with the nearest distributors, allowing them to browse the accurate inventory and to get the store’s contact details.
Since Velux doesn’t have a physical sales force and relies mostly on its established brand, an app for supporting purchases was key to the company’s sales strategy.
We understood the importance of the project and took full responsibility for it: from technological consultancy and design to development, and post-deployment support.
Matching the standards of an enterprise
Having startup origins and mentality, we knew we had to adjust our work to the rules and demands of a corporate client. Especially in terms of the project’s coordination and management.
And yet we had to remain the same, old United Ideas, ready to challenge the client and making the best use of our deep technological experience.
Replacing the old app with success
